Designing a Future
Shaped by Curiosity

The Scratch Foundation, Stanford University Professors Bruce McCandliss and Nick Haber, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development are hosting the first-of-its-kind Curiosity Convening.

Supported by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Curiosity Convening is an exploration of what we know about curiosity and how it can shape the future of education, development, and human potential.

On October 9–10, 2025, global thought leaders at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, human computer interaction, AI, creative learning, education policy, philanthropy, and design will convene at the OECD headquarters in Paris to imagine the future of learning through the lens of curiosity.

This site offers a window into the vision, conversation, and outcomes of the convening.
